Greetings from The South!
This spring I'm on a rock climbing tour of the South East US. The first stop on the trip was T-Wall near Chattanooga, Tennessee where I climbed sandstone cracks with my friend Sebastien from Halifax. After a week in Tennessee, I dropped Sebastien off at the airport and headed to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. That's where I am now. I'll be here in Kentucky for a few days of sport climbing before I head to West Virginia and then back north.
So far the weather has been warm (by Canadian standards) with the odd day of hot weather but plenty of overcast dreary days. I was surprised that even as far south as Tennessee, the grass is just barely turning green and the trees haven't woken from dormancy.
As much as I love doing stuff outside near my home in New Brunswick, it's important to travel and spend time in new environments. And with every trip I always come home with a new appreciation for what we have in southern New Brunswick.
